Well, here we are, the final month of the year, the end is nigh, only 30 days until the end of this shit show of a year, we've made it.
November has undoubtably been a crap month for us all as we've basically reset back to March - being kept prisoner and stuck in another lockdown, and to make things even worse, unlike last time, we haven't had the blessing of warm weather and sunshine, boo.
However, if there's anything that has kept me sane during this time it's gotta be the luxury of musicians actually having the ability to produce some new music. Last month was pretty impressive with new releases, especially from artists who have been in hiatus for a while. Arctic Monkeys have released a stunning live version of 2007 hit '505', recorded at the Royal Albert Hall and Loyle Carner has released new single 'Yesterday' a year off the back of his last album Not Waving But Drowning.
Another honourable mention is Miley Cyrus' new album Plastic Hearts, the woman who played 'teen pop sensation' Hannah Montana in an almost past life, has gone from pop to rock in this album. After seeing her massively powerful cover of Blondie's 'Heart Of Glass' earlier this year, I've become a bit obsessed with her for the first time since 2008. Therefore, it shouldn't surprise you that more than two tracks of her new album feature in November's playlist (despite your prejudgment, I PROMISE, she's got a wicked new sound now).
